According to Anderson Cooper, “Guns have been the number one political topic on Facebook by two to one.” With his snowy white hair and condescending glasses, Cooper immediately hit Bernie Sanders with his past voting record. “Which is it, shield the gun companies from lawsuits or not”, asked Cooper. Bernie responded with a list of what he believes are the real gun issues; assault weapons, background checks, the gun show loophole, straw man purchases, and mental health. Cooper interrupted Sanders with the question, “Do you want to shield gun companies from law suits or not?” “Of coarse not”, Sanders replied.
“Senator Clinton, Is Bernie Sanders tough enough on guns”, asked Cooper. Hillary said “No”, and she backed her statement up with the fact that, on average, 90 gun related deaths occur each day in America. Now let me stop here. I believe this debate to be biased in the favor of Clinton. Cooper came out and immediately started to slam Sanders based on his past in regards to guns, and then throws the microphone to Clinton and asks her if Bernie is tough enough. What’s up with that? Hillary then goes on to state how Bernie Sanders voted for immunity for the gun manufacturers in the case of being held accountable for what individuals chose to do with their guns. “It’s pretty clear to me that he was going to give immunity to the only industry in America…. everybody else has to be accountable, but not the gun manufacturers”, says Clinton.
Hillary needs to get a grip. Gun manufacturing is the only industry in America that doesn’t have to be held accountable? They make weapons, of coarse people are going to kill each other. Why should the manufacturers be held accountable? This is childish logic. Terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Centers in 2001. Should Boeing be held accountable? Also, I’m pretty sure there are a couple other industries that escaped the wrath of accountability. Do you remember the “Too Big to Fail” campaign in 2008? Do you remember the list of banks and other companies who received over 700 billion dollars in bailout money? Well, it turns out that the number could be closer to 12.5 trillion. But hey, if Hillary says that the gun manufacturing industry is the only industry that doesn’t have to be held accountable, then it must be the truth. After all, she is a woman. She’s a woman who wants to stand up for the country, yet couldn’t stand up for her self when her husband “didn’t have sexual relations with that woman.” Feel the Bern!
