Last Thursday I took my first math exam. I had convinced myself that I had bombed the test, even though I took the test three times on scrap paper before handing it in. On my ride home I realized that I got two of the problems wrong by the error of not attaching the correct signs, positive or negative. Silly mistakes can cost points.
Well today in class we went over one-step equations in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Something clicked. For the first time in my life I felt like I may actually be able to excel in math. The professor put problems on the board and I was able to solve them all correctly. At the end of class she gave us our graded tests. I got a 96. I am happy with that. Never doubt yourself. The first step to learning is believing in yourself. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
